Echo

I photographed Picher, Oklahoma to create a body of work that would present a ghostly experience of the disappearance of life from a town that suffered from industrial pollution. I have printed the images on floor-to-ceiling silk panels.  Each panel is hand stitched with gold metallic thread, an ode to the commercial and intrinsic value of land.

I returned to photograph Picher again during the annual Christmas parade. Former residents “Come Home” to march down the Main Street of a place that was home and is still loved by them. The images from this portion of the project are color, archival, ink jet prints. I have also created a self published book of both series available on Amazon.
